Paul Levy, in his popular blog, Not Running a Hospital, confronts the Cleveland Clinic’s disconnect between their groundbreaking videos espousing empathy and their actual behavior when it comes to creating a culture of safety and medical transparency. I agree with Paul that ‘talking empathy’ without ‘walking the empathy walk’ hurts both employee and patient morale. They can do better!
