Honesty, empathy, clarity and just-in-time communication
Appropriate for small groups – Four hours –
In this advanced media training participants will learn how to handle high-stakes, crisis situations on-the-spot with empathy and confidence. It includes spontaneous and planned press conference role plays (video recorded with coaching) and a review of sound bites, bridging technique and the role of the spokesperson as educator.
Focusing on the organization’s crisis management plan, attendees will learn how to:
- Demonstrate compassion and the intention to communicate clearly and accurately
- Remain in control while demonstrating honesty, clarity and openness
- Provide accurate information and address the public’s fears and concerns
- Determine what can, and cannot, be discussed
